Responsibilities:
Police take on the responsibility of being a mod as well as a cop. Police must thoroughly know the rules, commands, etc.
Police: Arrest/kill players who break the law. Help protect survivor bases.
Mod: Mute/Kick players. Supply new players with information (server commands, rules, etc.).

Law
Murder: 4 minutes in jail.
Multiple Murders: 5 minutes in jail.
Base Raiding: 2 minutes jail.
Surrender If a player surrenders you may use the "/jail "username" "time" "reason"" and send them to jail. The time in jail is listed above. However, if the player refuses to surrender and is killed by the police, they are jailed, the time is doubled, and they lose all of their gear.
POLICE RULES
1. Criminals are only to be jailed if they surrender to a cop or killed by cops (or players aiding cops). Criminals will keep all gear if they surrender.
2. If a player opens fire on you, or another cop, you have the right to shoot back and kill the criminal. Otherwise, you should not open fire.
3. Do not troll or brag about being a cop. Be respectful and polite. As a cop you represent this server.
4. Do not bait another player into committing a crime.
5. If you are caught committing any crimes you be lose all mod/police titles/powers!

I love how everyone applying except for 1 or 2 is under 16. I like the idea of the factions but I feel giving Police to much power is a bad thing. How do you trust they will use that power right. On top of that they get good gear for nothing why the rest of us have to work for it. I saw a bunch of "Police" today and it only really looked like a large group of bandits to me. I like the idea I just don't seeing it running as smooth as most might think. Also do police have god mode cause I was doming some fools back to back with no deaths. No one not even Admin should have god mode.

Police kits give Kevlar, a Shotgun, and a P250. They may only use their kits every 20 minutes just like the other faction kits. Many people say that the cop class is under-powered. They have often said that cops should have an M4 or a Bolt Action Rifle, however, I feel like having good defense armor, and a decent weapon like the Shotgun keeps it balanced.

The admins (Weado, Nolo and myself) will be closely monitoring the cops actions. Nolo and Weado actually Bounty Hunters so it is to their advantage to keep the cops/mods in check. Every Saturday we will be adding/removing cop/mods based on the current cops behaviors. As cops/mods, they will have the ability to /jail, mute, kick, and teleport (to tp players who are stuck when the admins are offline). They do not have access to god-mode. Only the admins have that ability and it is only used when hosting server events or when investigating hackers.

Out of about 8 players who applied for cop, only 3 were chosen. They were chosen because of their amount of time in-game, maturity level, and their knowledge of server rules so they aren't getting gear for no reason. Most people believe having Leather armor and a bolt action is much better than have Kevlar and a shotgun anyways.

If they abuse their power in any way they will be terminated. We actually had a cop last week who abused his power and he are no longer with us.

The situation with you getting killed today at NoobTown had to do with bandits attacking and taking the town. Yesterday a lot of bandits took NoobTown and laid waste to it. Right before you ran up two or three bandits were trying to keep us out. We finally got in, torn down the placed in-game items, and set ourselves up to defend the town. Some of the players in the area also jumped in to help protect the town. The people who shot you said that you opened fire and they returned the shots.

The current cops are Exi, Hollywood, Firestorm, and daltonward (me). If you see any cop/mod abuse, please report it on the forums and I will be glad to look into it. Thanks for posting your thoughts and I hope this clears a few things up.

I have no problem with getting killed, I'm a bandit for life. I run towards the sound of gunfire and initiate gun fights so please don't think I am worried about being killed. I like the server and I like the idea I just feel it can easily get out of hand. It does seem you have a good handle on it and will most likely see me around the server more often. I will say though that God Mode was used today cause I domed a guy 4x's in a row so I hope whoever had god mode on was using it appropriately. Thanks for the response by the way

Bid him adieu and wish him a wonderful day

A bandit kills a survivor and you see it happen. What do you do?
"THIS IS L.A.P.D.... PUT DOWN THE WEAPON OR I WILL SHOOT YOU."
Tell him to surrender, read him his rights, and jail him. If he refuses to cooperate: light him up, send him to jail
in the afterlife (double time), and call it a day.
